THE LAUGHING ACADEMY, Under the instruction of Steve Rocco
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
The Laughing Academy is an 8 week course open to students 18+, which focuses on the Art of Stand-up Comedy. Throughout the course, students will learn terminology, the comedy writing process, stage presence and performance techniques. Students will be constructing a 5-6 minute stand-up comedy routine during the course of The Laughing Academy, and will be performing at their Graduation Showcase.
Class Dates:
- February 3rd class at 8PM
- February 10th class at 8pm
- February 17th class at 8pm
- February 24th class at 8pm
- March 3rd class at 8pm
- March 10th class at 8pm
- March 24th class at 8pm
- March 31st recap class at 8pm
Showcase Date: March 30th at 7pm
- Students Must Be 18+
- Workshop Cost: $249 (Save $50 with code TLA50 if you Register by 1/24!)
- Refund Policy: Registrations may be canceled up to and including the first day of classes for a $100 cancellation fee. From day two of classes up to and including day four of classes the cancellation fee is $200. After the fourth class all fees are non-refundable.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Steve Rocco is a Professional Stand-up Comedian/Producer on Long Island. He has been performing and running live comedy events for over 12 years. Starting off in his hometown of Farmingville; he quickly climbed the ranks and has been seen everywhere from Comedy Clubs and Theaters to Fire Houses and Local Bars. His Dark Attire and Twisted Wit has made him one of the most recognizable face in the Long Island Comedy Scene. Over the years he has also mentored young and aspiring comedians, and has now taken the leap to teaching full classes.
