The CM Lounge serves as the main lobby and audience gathering space for the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre.
The space includes:
A vestibule entrance with Box Office ticket booth for ticket sales and will-call pickup.
A full-service bar offering snacks, coffee, tea, soft drinks, wine, beer, hard seltzers, and mocktails
Lounge seating and bar counters for pre-show and intermission hospitality
Restrooms
Men’s and Women’s restrooms are ADA-compliant and each include baby changing stations.

CM Performing Arts Center does not provide security services, however our operations and front of house teams are happy to coordinate logistics with a licensed and insured security company provided by the rental presenter.

The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre – Main Stage Space

12 padded chairs (removable for ADA access; may also be used for standard or companion seating)

VIP tables may be removed to increase capacity. Additional chairs can be provided, at an additional cost, to accommodate seating up to the maximum permitted occupancy.
Dressing Room
The Lynn Cahalan dressing room is located immediately off Stage Right and measures approximately 1,100 square feet (24’-9” x 42’-2”).
The space is equipped with:

Two single-occupancy ADA accessible restrooms
Tables and chairs
Wardrobe racks
Please note:
There are no principal or private dressing rooms
There are no shower facilities on site

Backstage Policies
- All hanging scenery must be rigged with proper wire rope. All hanging scenery must have rated hardware. If you are using wire rope clips they must be put on correctly and be forged not malleable. If you are using sleeves they must be copper not aluminum.
- All scenery must be flame proofed.
- A member of the CM Performing Arts Center staff, for billing and security reasons, must be present during all activity in the Center. Notify the staff upon arrival and departure.
- All work areas must be kept clean and presentable.
- Any soft goods moved must be returned to their original location.
- All tools and/or loose objects must be secured when going to the catwalk, or up any ladder. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- There will be no eating or drinking in the house, on stage or backstage.
- CM Performing Arts Center is a drug free facility.
- Please take care to prevent damage to the paint and floor surfaces. Please do not use tape on any of the painted surfaces.
Load-in Policies
- All stage loading should happen from the rear of the building. No equipment or scenery should be loaded through the front of the building without coordinating with Director of Production and Director of Operations.
- There is a single 4′ wide door directly to the backstage area.
- There is a 8′ wide x 10′ tall garage door to the scene shop located adjacent to the stage. Usage of the exterior garage door must be coordinated with Scene Shop Manager in advance.
- All truck parking must be coordinated with Director of Production in advance.
- Prior to load-in, the user must have paid all estimated charges and presented the staff with written proof of liability insurance as requested by the contract. All materials must comply with all local, state, and federal fire and safety codes.
The following dimensions reflect a bare stage configuration.
If your event is scheduled in repertory with a CM Performing Arts Center production or rental, available playing space, wing space, and masking may be impacted by installed scenic elements. Please confirm final layout and usable space in advance.
Stage Floor
The stage floor is a painted wood deck.
The standard finish is black; however, floor color may vary if another repertory production is installed. Floor color should be confirmed in advance with the Director of Production.
A Marley dance floor is available for an additional fee and must be reserved in advance.

The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre is equipped with a computer lighting system, video monitoring, and sound reinforcement equipment.
All equipment in the CM Performing Arts Center must be operated by trained crew members.

Power Distribution
A 200A CAM-Lok disconnect is located in the dimmer room off Stage Left. This service is typically used to support an ETC Sensor+ 24-Module Touring Dimmer Rack.
All touring power requirements must be coordinated in advance with the Technical Operations Manager.
Lighting Control
The house lighting console is an ETC Ion XE20.
Primary console is located in the upstairs lighting booth
A secondary / client console is available and may be used for:
Programming from the house (sACN Ethernet port located in front of the VIP section)
Onstage or backstage control
Lighting control distribution is network-based via sACN.
DMX Distribution
The venue is equipped with Obsidian EP2 (2-Port) DMX Nodes distributed throughout the theatre. Each node provides two (2) DMX outputs.

- The Joseph W. Campanello studio can be serviced by the CM Performing Arts Center lounge including Women’s and Men’s restrooms. Access to the lounge requires walking outside and next door.
Dressing Room
The Joseph W. Campanello Studio has no specified dressing room. The Brian Schnurman Studio is located directly next door and the Lynnn Cahalan

The Joseph W. Campanello Studioe has no permanent lighting console, dimmers, or fixtures. Hanging chandeliers, sconces, track lighting, and other general illumination is available.
The Joseph W. Campanello Studio is equipped with in-ceiling speakers. There is an aux input to plug a phone, MP3 player, laptop, or other playback into the system. Show feed and/or paging from the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre is also available.
The Joseph W. Campanello Studio has a permanent projector and projection screen mounted in the space with an HDMI video input and an 1/8″ audio input. The studio also contains a 55″ TV that can show a video feed of the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre stage.
