volunteer of the month:
MICHAEL SHERWOOD
Q: Why do you volunteer?
A: I volunteer because I love being involved with the theatre, whether it’s acting on stage or helping out as part of the house staff. It’s a great feeling when patrons tell you how much they enjoyed the show on their way out. It’s also great working with the CM staff and other volunteers.
Q: Why is CM important to you?
A: CM is a very special place for me. Before I started acting in shows and volunteering, I used to bring my young niece to see shows at CM, and we bonded over our mutual love of theatre. In 2015, after having done some theatre elsewhere, I auditioned and was cast in “South Pacific” as the captain, my first CM show. Shortly after that, I also joined the house staff. Over the past decade it’s become a second home and a second family to me.
