Q: Why do you volunteer?
A: We volunteer because the arts thrive when artists are able to show up regulated and whole. Nervous system care is crucial to performance yet often misunderstood and/or overlooked. We take great pride in introducing young performers to chiropractic care, helping them see that self-care isn’t a luxury, but a necessity! We also love being immersed in our community, because now more than ever, people are craving connection and face-to-face interactions, and pouring into our community is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting impact.
Q: Why is CM important to you?
A: CM Performing Arts Center is our local community treasure, a place that delivers high-caliber performances while allowing people to be fully themselves. Here, storytelling isn’t censored; it sparks important conversations, features underrepresented artists, and brings vital topics to the stage. CM also gives us the privilege of introducing young performers to chiropractic care, shifting the narrative on self-care and longevity in the arts, and we are honored to serve in the capacity of collaboratively elevating the next generation of artists. CM is also a place of refuge from the weight of today’s political climate.

Volunteer Opportunities:
We have a variety of volunteer roles available, including:
- Ushering: Help welcome patrons and guide them to their seats, enhancing their theatre experience while here at CM.
- Concessions: Assist with selling snacks and beverages during performances.
- Backstage Crew: Support set changes and manage props, ensuring seamless productions that keep audiences engaged and returning.
- Technical Support: Provide support to our lighting and sound departments, helping create high-quality performances.
- Facility Repairs and Painting: Contribute to maintaining a beautiful and safe theatre.
- Scenic Painting and Construction: Create stunning sets that enhance productions.
- Fundraising: Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, directly contributing to the financial health of the theatre.
- Production and Marketing Photography: Capture compelling images for promotional materials.
- Marketing Videography and Editing: Create engaging video content that promotes our productions.
