Accessibility/DEIA Promise

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND ACCESSIBILITY (DEIA) PROMISE
At the CM Performing Arts Center, we take immense pride in being a nonprofit organization that serves as a “home” to people from all walks of life. Guided by our mission to produce quality theatrical productions and uphold the values of excellence, diversity, and community, we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and empowered.
Our Commitment to DEIA
1. Diversity: We celebrate the unique perspectives, talents, and backgrounds that each individual brings to our organization. Whether you are a staff member, volunteer, performer, or audience member, your voice matters.
2. Equity: We strive to create fair opportunities for all, ensuring that everyone has the resources and support they need to thrive. This includes equitable access to roles, programs, and leadership opportunities.
3. Inclusion: Our goal is to cultivate a culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We actively listen, learn, and adapt to make our space welcoming to individuals of all identities and experiences.
4. Accessibility: CM Performing Arts Center is designed to be accessible according to ADA standards, with thoughtful accommodations in our rehearsal spaces, performance areas, and offices. We are committed to eliminating barriers and ensuring that our programs are accessible.
For Our Staff and Volunteers
We extend these principles to every member of our team, whether you are part of our staff or volunteering your time and talents. Our DEIA policies are designed to support a collaborative and respectful environment where everyone can contribute meaningfully to our shared mission.
A Promise to Grow
We recognize that the journey toward greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility is ongoing. While we may not be perfect, we are steadfast in our resolve to learn, improve, and better ourselves. Through open dialogue, continuous education, and thoughtful action, we aim to evolve and meet the needs of our community.
Together, we can create a space where art inspires connection, understanding, and change. We thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Service Animals
Service animals are specifically trained to assist individuals with disabilities by performing essential functions. We welcome service animals in our theater, as they are legally permitted under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We do not require proof of certification or a demonstration of a service animal’s training. However, both service animals and their handlers must adhere to all CM Performing Arts Center policies and procedures.  Please note that management reserves the right to ask that a service animal be removed from the premises if it exhibits uncontrolled or disruptive behavior, such as barking, growling, jumping on others, or attempting to run away.  To ensure the safety and well-being of our audiences, artists, staff, and volunteers, all other animals, including emotional support animals, are not permitted in the theater.
We strive to make your visit as comfortable and convenient as possible. If you require any additional assistance or have specific accessibility needs, please do not hesitate to contact our staff at info@cmpac.com or by calling (631) 218-2810.
